MEET COREY
Corey Johnson has dedicated nearly two decades to protecting communities as a firefighter, paramedic, and emergency services leader.
For the past ten years, he has served the City of Williston, advancing through leadership roles to become Assistant Fire Chief of Operations, where he oversees fire, EMS, hazardous materials response, prevention, and training across multiple stations and more than one hundred personnel. His career has been defined by accountability, teamwork, and real-world decision-making that directly impacts public safety and taxpayers.
Before coming to North Dakota, Corey built his foundation in public service in western Pennsylvania, volunteering in the fire service, working full-time as a paramedic, and serving his community through nonprofit and local committee involvement. He moved to Williston to continue that mission in a region grounded in opportunity, hard work, and strong community values. Today, he remains actively engaged in statewide public safety leadership and policy discussions, including service on the Upper Missouri District Health Board and the North Dakota EMS Association.Â
Corey is running for the North Dakota House of Representatives because District 23 deserves steady, experienced leadership that understands both how government works and how decisions affect families, first responders, and local communities. His campaign is grounded in conservative principles—limited government, personal responsibility, strong public safety, and respect for taxpayers—and focused on ensuring western North Dakota continues to grow, prosper, and remain a strong place to raise a family.Â
