Corey Johnson’s priorities are rooted in real-world experience, conservative principles, and a deep commitment to the families, workers, and communities of District 23. His focus is on practical solutions that strengthen public safety, protect taxpayers, support strong families, and ensure the prosperity created in western North Dakota benefits the people who live here.

PUBLIC SAFETY & EMS SUSTAINABILITY

Strong communities depend on reliable emergency services. Corey has spent his career on the front lines of fire and EMS response, and he understands the staffing challenges, rising costs, and long-term sustainability concerns facing rural and western North Dakota. He will work toward fiscally responsible policies that ensure firefighters, EMS professionals, and law enforcement have the stable support they need to continue protecting lives and property across our state.

ENERGY & WESTERN ND REINVESTMENT

North Dakota’s energy industry powers our state’s economy and strengthens American energy independence. Corey strongly supports responsible oil and gas development and believes the prosperity generated in the Williston Basin must be reinvested into the western communities that make that production possible. His goal is an energy policy where economic growth, strong infrastructure, and thriving local communities move forward together.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY & TAXPAYER PROTECTION

True fiscal responsibility means more than simply reducing spending—it means spending wisely. Corey supports targeted efficiency in government, eliminating overlapping programs, protecting essential services like infrastructure and public safety, and ensuring excess revenue is returned to taxpayers. His approach is rooted in accountability, precision, and respect for every dollar earned by North Dakota families.

STRONG FAMILIES

Corey believes every child deserves a safe, stable, and loving home. He supports shared parenting policies that keep both parents actively involved in a child’s life, where appropriate, and he believes the state should make adoption processes clear, fair, and accessible for families ready to provide a permanent home. When conflict arises, the priority should always remain the wellbeing of the child.

Public office is a public trust. Corey supports transparency, ethical leadership, and meaningful accountability measures that ensure taxpayer dollars are protected and public officials are held to the highest standards. With nearly two decades in emergency services, Corey understands how critical response times, infrastructure investment, and coordination are during disasters. He supports strengthening rural emergency systems, maintaining reliable infrastructure, and ensuring communities are prepared for floods, fires, and severe weather.
